Print book interiors | Ebook formats
Custom print designs. I’m a book-interior specialist, providing custom typesets using Adobe InDesign: custom fonts, heading types … Everything is customizable in a bespoke layout.
Book design collaborations. When setting up a project with your cover designer, custom formats can take the cover fonts and typography and integrate it into the interior, ensuring a full cover-to-cover book design.
Vellum. I use the Vellum software to create 80% or more of my clients’ ebooks. Vellum also has the capability for template-style print book interiors, which is a lovely budget option for fiction and simple nonfiction.

Copy editing/proofreading
I offer some services that play nicely with the end stages of book production: copy edits and proofreads.
With either of these, my services are unique in that I provide every author with commentary on continuity, plot holes and the like–not just coldly tackling technical items, as your story is key!
Copy editing checks things like these:
- Spelling and word usage (affect/effect, forth/fourth)
- Grammar, sentence structure, and timeline/perspective (like “I am going to the store and I will get some snacks”)
- Some of the same checks as proofreading, but a much more detailed service
Words may rearrange within sentences for clarity, but copy editing is not meant for moving large chunks of text; this structural work should be addressed before copy editing.
Proofreading is similar … but different:
A proofread involves checking many of the same items as the copy edit, meant to catch any stray punctuation or word usage errors just before a manuscript goes to publication. This is frequently performed on a typeset PDF but a Word file is not uncommon for indie authors.
All revisions and editing phases should be finished before proofreading, or there will be an extra charge involved.
